GOAL 5

The Global Goals For Sustainable Development.

On September 25th 2015, 193 member states of the United Nations adopted a set of 17 Sustainable Development Goals which will guide the social, economic and environmental actions everybody takes to achieve a sustainable future by the year 2030. This landmark agreement serves as a framework of global aspirations for the world to commit to in order to address the biggest global challenges of our time. They call upon all stakeholders – governments, businesses, civil society, academia and of course, youth, to work together in creating solutions that will meet the goals and their targets.

“Living Green means making positive choices for a positive lifestyle.”

Vision

To build socio-economically resilient communities with equal opportunities for women and youth.

Our Mission

To alleviate poverty amongst vulnerable communities especially women and youth through capacity development, entrepreneurship, enterprises, Jobs creation and partnerships for sustainable development.

Our Goal

To alleviate poverty, build socio-economically resilient communities and a peaceful society for all.

Our Objectives

Living Green strives to work with the marginalized communities in the areas of economic and social empowerment using evidence base approach aimed at helping young people and communities fight poverty and vulnerability.

Our Motivation

Living Green Cameroon is made up of young people who come from these affected grassroots communities. Growing up in these communities and witnessing these problems at first hand; poverty, hunger, child abuse, gender inequality, drug abuse, crime wave, diseases, juvenile delinquency, lack of quality education, corruption, cultural related violence and environmental hazards yet no adequate solution is being implemented. This is why Living Green Cameroon has come together to take collective action to create sustainable solutions.

Grassroots Community Advocate For Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

For the past 5 years Living Green Cameroon recognize the need to shift the pursuit of Community Development to Sustainable Community Development in shared models of the SDGs inclusive approach. Our work is focus on empowering vulnerable children, youth and their respective communities as the way forward to achieving the SDGs through Awareness, Understanding, Partnership and Action and building Sustainable Peace in local communities through sports and games.
